The Hunt 1000
An unsupported journey through the Australian Alps.
Follow our bike mechanic Beau, as he heads out on an 1000km journey through the rooftop of Australia. Riders will be pedalling from Canberra, finishing in Melbourne and encompassing the Kosciuszko, Alpine and Namadgi National Parks.
Aiming for a grand finish, rather than a grand depart, this is not a race but an adventure with the departure date being of your choice. Four days , 14 Days, the choice is up to the rider. The goal is to get to Melbourne and share a brew with the other riders on Sat 30th. Riders can choose their starting date depending on how many days they are aiming to complete the course.
Beau has chosen to depart early morning on Wednesday 27th, giving him the challenge of grinding out the 1000km over four gruelling days. With 20,000m total ascent, 1000km distance and a highest point of 1,800m, The Hunt 1000 is no easy feat.
